Arrebite is a stimulant drug used by brazilian truck drivers to keep up with their work driving for hours. It is also portuguese for a type metal bolt, heavily present in punk and metal wardrobe.
Around 2005, Rafael Ferreira, Raul Costa and MC Diamondog, young party rockers in Belo Horizonte, Brazil (hometown of the first two and where the Angolan MC was studying at the time) got together and made a bunch of tracks. It was a short lived project, with only two releases, a 12" and a 7", a handfull of shows in Brazil and Germany, only one of them with all the three together.
The sound was heavy hitting and party oriented, with great doses of 90s hip hop, breakbeats, jungle, punk and metal. MC Diamondog probably breaks the world record for the fastest rapper ten times in each track, mixing portuguese, english and kibundo over the distorted beats, heavy low end and 303s. In the title track, we also have Caio Macéa delivering hardcore screaming alongside Diamantino.
This EP was released by Phantomnoise Records in Leipzig, Germany. We also included the track 'Nunslaughter' part of the Sick Compilation released by Acidsamovar in Moscow, Russia.
